A Pilsen Garden
Frank and L’il Willie construct a pathway out of irregular limestone pavers. When we first took over the lot, it consisted of a flat fishbowl area in the middle with slopes at either end. The slope on the alley side consisted of what was once a garage — which burned down, was demolished and then was simply left in a pile. We hauled in some fill and covered up the mound to the best of our abilities, but Frank and Willie had to dig through many layers of concrete debris to set the limestone in place.
